Today, grieving families from across our service area gathered at the serene Highland Forest Park Skyline Lodge for a Celebration of Life Ceremony.

Meaningful readings were read, beautiful songs were sung and families were offered the chance to say their child’s name. The gathering offered a beautiful opportunity for families to lean on each other knowingly.

On days like today we are especially grateful for our generous supporters who helped make this possible. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for bringing peace and healing to local families who have lost a child to childhood cancer🙏💛

All qualities of Ilijah, who at just 17 years old when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma.

When his family first heard the news "Your child has cancer" they had no idea which way to turn.

As so often happens, one caregiver must leave work to care for their sick child and attend frequent treatments.

Ilijha`s Mother Neli sat down with us to share about her precious child and how much the support they received meant.

Community support saved Elijah’s life and now it fuels his “why.” 💛

At just two years old, Elijah Conte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and given a 20% chance to live. His young body endured 48 months of chemotherapy and countless procedures.

But because so many foundations showed up for Elijah and his family, his story isn’t only about hardship, it is about gratitude. He looks back and sees the good: the support, compassion and reassurance they were never alone.

Today, Elijah serves on the board of Paige’s Childhood Cancer Fund, committed to paying that support forward for families facing childhood cancer now.
