Right next to Ellen, in the children’s section of the store, was a craft table set up for children. Children (of all ages!) enjoyed a craft table, which offered supplies to create a holiday wreath they were able to take with them.
In addition to this one-day event, the store collects new books and toys throughout the month of December to be donated to the patients.
This annual event has quite a large impact on the patients. Children get to choose one book to take with them each day they come to clinic (outpatient) for treatment and each day they are inpatient. We are so very grateful to everyone who supports this wonderful event and for Barnes & Noble for joining us in our mission during the holidays each year!
